Fuchsia cross

This is still a cell phone pic but atleast you can see the whole painting. It's 11" x 14". Right now its hanging on the side of this bookcase, until I find a better spot. : ) I think I want to make a larger one.... as in 36" x36"....we'll see!

Sunday night

a peek at part of a painting from tonight................when starting I knew I wanted it to include browns, yellow gold and fuchsia but didn't know exactly what it would be. Will share more when dry. There's nothing as relaxing as painting, regardless of the outcome. : )

Petals necklace

Just popping in.........this is a pretty little necklace made from the same Petals I use for pins.
The ribbon can be interchangeable so I really like it!

Below was a failed attempt of a photoshoot of bracelets and rings on the neighborhood girls.
We shall try again. Cookie Mag makes it look so effortless, don't they? *sigh*

Hello Friday

Wow, is it really May 29th!! How did that happen soo fast! I know I've been scarce around here.
So much going on, in life, and so little in the job search that it is frustrating to say the least.
I'm happy it's Friday and looking forward to this weekend!!

Will be back to revive this blog on Monday!!! : )

Pretty Toothpaste cover!

I guess I'm still thinking of bathroom stuff............so as I looked at my ugly tube of toothpaste I thought why not cover it up with some pretty fabric. So that's what I did. I cut a piece of fabric, covered it with clear laminate with about an inch of extra laminate to hold it together.

Now you can leave your tube out and still have it look pretty. And I think once the tube is done you can easily peel off the cover and put it on a new tube.

Woo hoo!

This was super quick....just a few minutes tops!!!!

DIY Makeover: Medicine Chest

Yesterday I wanted to do a little DIY project in my oh so tiny bathroom. Just a little something to make it prettier, something relatively easy and quick. I wanted instant satisfaction. As I looked around, I decided to re-do the inside of my Medicine Cabinet. It was pretty drab and boring......see below...

(BEFORE: Medicine Chest)

So I grabbed some beautiful scrapbooking pages that I recently picked up on a trip to Target. I wish I could tell you the brand but I bought them on clearance because the package was open.

I simply measured the space inside the cabinet, cut the paper and the important part is to laminate the sheets! Otherwise the humidity will obviously make the pages warp. I used the roll of clear laminate that you can pick up at any craft store. To adhere the pages, I used removable double sided tape, because I want to have the option to change it up if I feel the inkling to!
And that was it!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't it look so much better. Then I felt I needed SOMETHING for the door, so I added the 'Hello Lovely'!! Because don't we all want to hear that in the morning! (For that part I laminated the sheet first and then glue gunned the yarn words onto the laminate). Oh, I almost forget to tell you to laminate some paper doiles as well, they look sooo sweet! You can do as much or as little as you want.

I showed my husband what I was doing and he wondered why I would do that for the inside where no one will see it!!!! I said, 'IT'S FOR ME, I WILL SEE IT." Everyday!

So get to it ladies, do it for yourself!!!!

PS-And when you have parties and have the.. 'lets call them curious' guests who peek inside your medicine chest, it will kill them that they cannot compliment you on its beauty, lest they out themselves as a snoop. : )

PSS-- After I finished this project, I viewed Tracy's Inspiration Fascination video on Friday where they were also so timely sharing bathroom inspirations!!! And I went back and added the little TEACUP for my Q-tips! Thanks Tracy.........I love that!!!!

Hello hello

Saturday's painting.....it's still drying. The background are pages from Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. I think I like it. You know how it's hard to tell right away. Let's see how I feel tomorrow.
There's also another really fun project I've been working on this week. I'm just about finished.
I think you will like it too!
Tomorrow, we are off to see a play of the Wizard of Oz!! Fun, fun!
